Email Policy

Effective date: May 25, 2026 · Last updated: September 4, 2026

This Email Policy explains what types of emails ClubCabinet sends, when we send them, and how you can manage your email preferences.

1. Types of Emails We Send

Transactional Emails (cannot be opted out of)

These emails are necessary to operate the service and are sent in direct response to your actions or your club administrator’s actions:

  • Account creation confirmation
  • Password reset links
  • Club membership invitation emails
  • Email verification messages
  • Security alerts (e.g., unusual account activity)

Club Notification Emails (can be opted out of)

These emails are triggered by club administrators and activity within your club workspace. You can opt out of any category in your notification preferences:

  • Event RSVP reminders (sent by club administrators to prompt attendance responses)
  • Announcements posted by your club
  • Recruiting pipeline updates relevant to your role

Platform Communications (can be opted out of)

Occasional emails about ClubCabinet itself:

  • Major product updates and new features
  • Policy changes requiring your attention
  • Service maintenance notices

2. Managing Your Email Preferences

You can manage club notification preferences within your club’s settings page. Each notification category can be turned off there. Transactional account, security, and membership messages may still be sent when they are necessary to provide the service.

To opt out of all non-transactional emails or to request removal of your email address, contact us at clubcabinetsupport@gmail.com. We will process your request within 10 business days.

3. Compliance

All emails sent by ClubCabinet comply with applicable email regulations including the CAN-SPAM Act (USA) and, where applicable, GDPR. Specifically:

  • Commercial or promotional email, if introduced, will include an appropriate opt-out mechanism
  • We honor opt-out requests promptly (within 10 business days)
  • We do not use deceptive subject lines or sender identities
  • We do not send email on behalf of third parties for commercial advertising

4. Club Administrator Responsibilities

Club administrators who use ClubCabinet’s email features (event reminders, invitations) are responsible for ensuring that recipients have a legitimate relationship with their club and have not previously opted out. Using ClubCabinet email features to send spam or unsolicited messages violates our Acceptable Use Policy and may result in account suspension.

5. How We Send Email

ClubCabinet uses Resend as our transactional email provider. Messages are sent from the ClubCabinet sender address configured for the production service.
